9. Jack
Unless you are a sad person who has been treated nothing but poorly by the women in your life (in which case, do you need a hug or a cuddle or something? Who hurt you? Was it Jack?), you probably hated Jack when you first met her. She was disagreeable and almost-naked when you met her, and it didn't help that you were begrudgingly allied with a quasi-terrorist organisation that she loathed. This wasn't your fault (Cerberus did save your life after all, and Jack is just sort of a grump to begin with), but it didn't do anything to rectify that gap between you and this strange woman who lives in the bowels of your ship so she can shave her head in peace. What really turned Jack around for me was her loyalty mission. Going to the facility where Jack was raised and seeing the conditions that she was raised in really informed her character and gave us something to grasp onto as players. And, admittedly, that explosion as pretty damn cool.
