10 Best Movement Systems In Gaming History

2. Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2's pilot movement turns the game from a really good first person shooter into a fast-paced parkour simulator that almost feels better without the titular titans.

Controlling a pilot in Titanfall 2 is surprisingly one of the best aspects of the game. Although the titans are really fun in their own way, Titanfall 2 manages to live on as a shooter because its base combat is so satisfying.

This is all because the pilot movement is so fluid. There's no lag in any of your moves and the fact you can boost and grapple about the map means that getting around isn't just easy, it's a lot of fun too.

One of the main reasons for this is ease of use. Actually getting the Pilot to do things like wall running and sliding is as simple as just jumping into a wall or pressing the crouch button whilst moving.

At this point, we'd honestly be pretty happy with a spin-off game that only features the pilots. Sorry titans, but we'll stick to the ground.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
