10 Best Multiplayer Maps In Call Of Duty: Black Ops History

5. Stadium

Introduced in the appropriately titled Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike DLC pack, Stadium was a bluntly-named map which was set against the backdrop of an urban sporting arena, a refreshing locale when compared to the game’s glut of battle-scarred warzones.

Stadium was primarily famous for its central plaza which hosted a variety of differing sniper sight lines. Moving through the center of the map was often a dangerous proposition, and players always had to keep an eye out for enemies roosting on any of several different perches.

The map's gameplay always felt fairly dynamic and fresh when compared to some of the less-versatile stages on offer in the first Black Ops entry. It got away from Treyarch’s relatively overused three lane design strategy, and the flow of battle often felt a bit more logical as a result. While it was never fun to catch a bullet from an unseen L96A1, the map was, on the whole, far from infuriating.

Reimagined as a piece of DLC content for the game’s sequel, Stadium definitely has its place in CoD history. It may seem like a relatively obscure pick, but it was a standout on a game loaded with classic maps.
