While Marcus leads the plot (in terms of the events), it feels like Connor is more central to the story (in terms of key themes and morals).

An android cop built to hunt down other androids, Connor's purpose and ruthlessness is immediately at odds with his quite affable and charming - if emotionally stunted - personality. Add in that he's partnered with an android hating detective, and he has a built in complexity ready to go.

Detroit: Become Human is possibly David Cage's most heavy handed narrative symbolically, with almost every story beat lifted from the civil rights movement, but it also undoubtedly has the richest array of characters. Amongst some other brilliant picks, Connor shines brightest.
