Colour palettes of greys and browns aren’t all the rage any more, and Fallout 4 proves that.
You can have a dingy, gross, post-apocalyptic world and still fill it with colour of all sorts. Gone are the days where wasteland meant dull, as a rundown Boston is overflowing with interesting, bright structures.
They still look ravaged and worn down, but they’re not boring to look at. The world of Fallout 4 is full of the weird and wonderful, plenty of that being high quality content.
Aside from the main story, there are location based quests that really help tell the story of each little town or settlement. When exploring you’ll struggle to walk 50 metres without finding something new or interesting.
It’s by no means the largest world on this list, but it’s probably got the same, if not more content than plenty of other open world games.
