3. Flygon
Pretty much every competitive battling team includes a Dragon or two. Very few of them include this guy, though, which is actually very surprising. Flygon is a dual type Ground/Dragon that probably suffered its obscurity as a result of being introduced in the same generation as Salamence. Flygon has only the same weaknesses as other Dragon types, though its Ground typing grants it immunity to Electric attacks as well. Flygon learns a wealth of Ground type moves before obtaining a few of the powerful Dragon type moves later down the line. Flygon is a great option for anybody looking to utilise an unknown quantity on the Dragon front as many battlers won't know what to expect from it and may even be surprised to see just how powerful its Dragon type moves can be. Flygon has a high Speed stat and its strength lies in physical attack; moves such as Dragon Claw or Dragon Tail can be used extremely effective by it. Flygon is a basic Pokemon with minimal option for secondary effect or lasting impact. It is, however, a quick and effective attacker that surprise your foe just enough to see them underestimate or misjudge its type and its strengths. Mistakes like this is competitive battling can be crucial and so having a Pokemon that can provoke them could be deadly.
