7. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

Following on from the success of Umbrella Chronicles, it was quickly followed up with The Darkside Chronicles making it the second on-rails shooter released for the Nintendo Wii.

Like its predecessor, this game adapts previous titles into a condensed format to allow players unfamiliar with those games to catch up. This time it was the turn of Resident Evil 2 and CODE: Veronica. And like before, this one featured an original mission; “Operation Javier” which fills in the backstory on Leon and Krauser.

Darkside Chronicles allows each section 8 levels as opposed to the 3 in its predecessor. This of course meant that so much more was covered this time around and it didn't feel like Capcom had as much cut out. It is also the closest we’ve come to a remake of CODE: Veronica and, with Capcom seemingly skipping straight to Resident Evil 4 on their remake train, it might be the closest we get.
