10 Best Resident Evil Spin-Off Video Games

2. Resident Evil: Dead Aim

Jill Valentine Resident Evil Revelations
Capcom

Dead Aim is an often forgotten entry in the franchise that featured a unique hybrid of third-person exploration and first-person action. Controlling US Stratcom Agent Bruce McGivern who arrives on a stolen Umbrella cruise liner being piloted by out-of-his-mind psychopath Morpheus D. Duvall. He is obsessed with the concept of beauty and is furious as Umbrella has tried to make him a scapegoat for the incident in the Arklay Labs.

Players wander the halls of the ship in the third person but upon aiming are switched to a first-person view. The controls of the game can be frustratingly clunky at times which certainly lends the game a lot of challenges.

There are some fantastic files to be found in the game, particularly one which describes the process of one man being transformed into a creature known as Pluto. Morpheus himself eventually becomes a Tyrant-like creature that looks pretty badass and also makes for a fantastic boss fight towards the end of the game. Dead Aim deserves more than being forgotten.
