10 Best RPGs From 1990 - 1999

8. Might and Magic: VI

Fallout 2
New World Computing

The Might and Magic series was a competitor to the Ultima series. It seems though that Might and Magic prospered more toward the end of the Decade. The Height of the series is often considered to be Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven. This game was developed by New World Computing and released in 1998.

This game is set in the continent of Enroth at the same time as the critically acclaimed Heroes of Might and Magic III.

Where this game really shines is in its great RPG systems. When you create your party of adventurers, you choose a portrait and their class (races were omitted as all your characters are human.) all normal RPG stuff, the difference in this game comes in the form of the skill point system.

When travelling across the continent of Enroth, you may find a variety of different guilds, when entering these certain classes can learn different skills. Some skills such as Merchant and repair are available to all but others are specific to one class.

The land, art style, and character of this game all go into making it a classic RPG of the time.
