10 Best RPGs Of 2015

4. Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition

How has this game not been given more attention? It's easily one of the best (and most underrated) games of 2015, throwing players into a beautiful open world of black magic and fascinating lore. The standard edition of Divinity was one of the most critically-lauded PC games of 2014, and this updated version for consoles - with added gamepad support, local multiplayer, improved graphics, and tons of new content - is its best rendition yet. Maybe people are (foolishly) put off by the isometric perspective, or the rich, tactical nature of the turn-based combat. But step outside your bubble of requiring an RPG to be from a first- or third-person perspective and you'll be treated to a game that in many ways bests its rivals in the genre. The story is solid, the dialogue (and there's a lot of it) is witty and engaging, and the extent to which your choices impact the world will keep surprising you. The fact that the whole game can now be played alongside a friend in the same room is almost unprecedented among RPGs, and the system is so well implemented (seamlessly switching between single- and split-screen depending on the situation), that Divinity is at its magnificent best when played through with a buddy.
