7. Burning Chateau (Uncharted 3)

One of the earliest set pieces in Uncharted 3, the burning Chateau is easily one of the most entertaining moments in the whole game.

Whereas Uncharted 2 had a focus on snow, this sequence showed that Uncharted 3 was taking on a new element - fire. Watching as the chateau crumbles in real time is easily one of the most impressive moments in the game technically, which is saying a lot when you get further down the list.

The only problem with the burning chateau is that it doesn’t really allow a lot of gameplay freedom and mostly focuses on seeing Nate and Sully run away from the fire in a very specific direction. Seeing something like this happen with Uncharted 4’s gameplay freedom would be a dream come true.

Although the set piece itself doesn’t quite live up to some of Uncharted 3’s more crazy situations, it’s still a brilliant start to the game and a fantastic moment in itself.
