10 Best Star Wars Video Game Heroes Ranked Worst To Best

2. Cal Kestis - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order & Jedi: Survivor

The underdog hero of the beloved Star Wars Jedi series quickly struck a chord with audiences when Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order first dropped back in 2019.

A Padawan on the run in a post-Order 66, Empire-ruled galaxy, Kestis' growth over the course of the two Star Wars Jedi games is among the finest character arcs in the entire franchise. Initially afraid and unsure of himself, Kestis grows into a gutsy warrior, even duelling Darth Vader and living to tell the tale. His struggles to find his place in a galaxy plagued by the Empire's tyranny paint him in a sympathetic, human light as he wrestles with survivor's guilt.

Kestis' likability is bolstered further by his compassionate demeanour, and strong bonds with other easy-to-root-for characters such as his mentor Cere Junda, and his trusty droid companion BD-1. Fallen Order even sees him push the villainous Second Sister to realise the error of her ways as a sadistic Inquisitor.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's immense success earlier this year has all but confirmed a third Kestis adventure is on the way. Played with subtlety and charm by Gotham and Shameless actor Cameron Monaghan, it appears Kestis' days as the face of Star Wars gaming are just getting started.
