10 Best Super Nintendo Soundtracks
4. The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past Perhaps more consistently than any other series, the Zelda series has long been recognized for having outstanding soundtracks. A Link To The Past is certainly no exception to this. From the opening moments, as the Triforce spins together, you are instantly captured by this majestic music, hooked into one of the most outstanding games ever made. Composed by Koji Kondo, this game features some outstanding tracks. While never getting too dark Kondo does a marvellous job of capturing the mood, focusing heavily on the heroic aspect of Link's character. String sections are matched wonderfully with echoing bells to create slightly ominous atmospheres, which are then broken up by powerful, almost military-like, drumming. Trumpeting horns carry the warrior onward throughout this epic journey, urging you on, inspiring the hero within.
