2. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - "Nanomachines, Son"
Senator Armstrong from Raiden spin-off Revengeance is a perfect example of how a one-and-done bad guy should be presented. No tortured return for a sequel, no retcons or breaking series continuity.
Just leave a lasting mark for all to see, before besmirching it down the line.
Whilst he initially comes across as standard "Saturday morning cartoon" villain, he does make some surprisingly good points. Given his rise for the presidency, he's very open about how the media control what we want to see, as well as the rise in meme culture that become as disposable as the next one that comes along.
Well, in broad terms, amongst the other redundant waffle that he spouts in between delivering piledrivers to Raiden. This is a Metal Gear game, after all.
