9. Mega Max (State Of Decay 2)

State of Decay 2, in the same way as the original, was crammed with homages to the best post-apocalyptic and zombie fiction. It's not unusual to see a reference to a movie like Dawn of the Dead pop up in the Achievements, but the second game takes these homages one step further by dedicating a whole vehicle to the Mad Max franchise.

Dubbed the "Mega Max", the car bears more than a passing resemblance to Max's iconic Interceptor from the movies (a likeness which only increases as you upgrade the vehicle), allowing players to live out their wildest gasoline-fuelled, post-apocalyptic dreams.

It's clear the devs have a fondness for this series, with a bunch of other little nods to the movies showing up throughout the game (including the "Be Still, My Dog Of War" achievement), but none are quite as robust as this. It's a cool addition, and at the very least, the car should tide players over while they impatiently wait for a true sequel to 2015's Mad Max to be announced.
