10 Best Video Game Sequels Of All Time

3. Red Dead Redemption 2

There are many open world games out there to get lost in. But the definition of "getting lost" can be loosely interpreted. One can get lost in Just Cause, for example, but there isn't much to do in a lot of their worlds.

Red Dead Redemption 2, however, is the good kind of game to get lost in. Fans of the series will be familiar with how the main game will play out, granted, but it's still worth playing to see the downfall of Dutch.

But that's not just what makes RDR2 the best sequel (technically second sequel, after Red Dead Revolver). It's the detail that Rockstar put into Arthur Morgan's world that draws gamers in.

Graphically, it's incredible. Couple that with the attention to detail that they've perfected over years and Grand Theft Auto's, and it's Rockstar's finest world to date.

The sheer depth of, well, everything makes it a fantastic time sink. Looking after Arthur, helping the many citizens in need or just whiling away the hours hunting and tending to the camp.

Just outlaws, living in the moment. Not a high falootin' piece of technology in sight.
