10 Best Video Game Soundtracks Of 2016

There's nothing more soothing than the music from Sid Meier's Civilization series. The games themselves are (in general) extremely fun to play; a slow, relaxed experience with careful decision making and languid analysis.

Composed by Geoff Knorr (the man responsible for the music from the past few Civ games), the music transitions from relaxing to epic and then back to relaxing, always managing to punctuate even the most mundane of tasks like constructing farms or waiting for the construction of a Wonder with a feeling of triumph.

Each civilization features its own music theme or core melody, with four variations depending on what era the civilization is in, keeping the music fresh and unique between each game.
