Rayman is probably the most likeable character on this list. He is one of the most popular platform gaming protagonists of all time, and is one of the few heroes here that is truly, fully "good". He is so popular, in fact, that he spawned a (poorly-received) spin-off television series. Rayman is a hero in the most traditional sense. He sets out to save his friends and world from those that seek to do them harm. His most significant power, and his most recognisable, is his ability to move his hands, feet and head independently of his body. This allows him to reach objects that are some distance away, as well as enabling him to deliver a fairly hefty punch to enemies from a distance. He is also able to fly, which is undoubtedly one of the most iconic general superpowers ever. His hair spins like a propellor, launching him into the air and carrying him over varying distances (depending on the instalment of the game).
