In some ways we already know what would happen if Wolf Hawkfield came to life, as in a sense, he did! Wrestler Jim Steele began using the name in 1997 whilst part of the Japanese promotion All Japan Pro Wrestling. He kept the routine up for three years before reverting back to his old self and later tried out for WWE, but never made the cut. Despite the long term commitment to the gimmick, there would be some unquestionable differences should the actual Wolf be brought to life, though it is impossible to ignore how the first attempt was received.

A Canadian First Nations hunter, Wolf debuted in Virtua Fighter (1993). Eventually his path would lead to a rivalry with Lucha Libre character El Blaze (Virtua Fighter 5, 2006). This clash of styles garnered interest worldwide and seeing as the character found success previously in Japan there is no reason to think the real incarnation would be any different. New Japan Pro Wrestling is arguably the most well known Japanese promotion today, so it would make sense this is where Hawkfield would call home.

The move-set of in-game Wolf is arguably more expansive that the real imitation was and skilled players can pull off crossfaces, tiger drivers, Olympic slams, and Jackhammers. A mid carder slot would be the least we could expect from this Wolf, but if the inspired-by version is anything to go by he would be better off continuing to ply his trade in the Far East.
