2. Silent Hills
Silent Hills is perhaps the most infamous video game to never see the light of day.
In August 2014, Konami published a free interactive demo on the PlayStation 4 Network called P.T. Designed and directed by Hideo Kojima in collaboration once again with Guillermo del Toro, it was easily one of the scariest games released at the time and served as a teaser for the upcoming latest title in the Silent Hill series.
The game was intended to be a reboot for the franchise, bringing in classic horror elements on a new generation of technology. The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus was also signed on to star in the game, and the acclaim P.T. achieved following its release made it a viral sensation.
But, it would be a game no one would ever be able to get their hands on. After three years in development, internal strife between Kojima and Konami led to him leaving the company in 2015.
Guillermo del Toro announced at the San Francisco Film Society event in April that the game had been cancelled, and P.T. was removed from the PlayStation network later that month.
