10 Best Western RPGs Of The Noughties
5. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
This game is based on the table-top RPG of the same name and was made by a small company called Troika Games. The company only made three games, but they included some of the best RPGs ever made.
In Bloodlines, you start as a recently turned vampire or fledgling. You will find yourself pushed into a sinful and gothic modern setting, one where you must navigate between warring vampire factions. While trying to stay alive you must do your best to maintain the Masquerade. This code is a set of rules that keeps vampire society secret from mortals.
You will have to make some hard choices as your progress through the game. You're going to have to balance your survival with the risk of losing your humanity. If you lose too much, you will become an uncontrollable, feral beast.
This fantasy modern-day setting is full of fantastical creatures and seedy crimes. You’ll see the worst of the worst as you make your way through LA. The later game may suffer from a few issues that hamper the experience, but overall but this is still a fantastic game, one that has become a cult classic. With a sequel on its way, there is no better time to enjoy this great RPG.
