10 Best Western RPGs Of The Noughties
4. Knight of the old Republic
I know, I know, another entry by Bioware. It’s not my fault they made some of the best RPGs of the decade. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is, as you might imagine, set during the time of The Old Republic. This is thousands of years before the events of the Star Wars films.
In this game, you play a character who has lost their memory. You have to piece it together by participating in the world-changing events that are happening around you. You and your team will have to pick sides as you bounce between criminal gangs, the Jedi, and even the Sith.
The multitude of different fighting styles and skills available in this game make sure that you can create any character you desire. Later on, you can even become a Jedi which will allow you to further hone your abilities.
Another big part of the game is the relationships you have with your crewmates. This has such a large impact on the game that it can even change the ending.
KOTOR spans the gap between classic and modern RPGs. While it may seem a bit clunky today, it is still a groundbreaking and fantastic title for Star Wars lovers and newcomers alike.
