Starting out as a random spin-off that the vast majority didn't pay too much attention to, Turn 10's Horizon second franchise simultaneously ticks boxes for realism and Burnout-style arcade drag racing, alongside looking absolutely stunning in the process. It used to be a marker of success for any new console to have a gander at the graphical horsepower under the hood, the question always being "So erm... how real does it look now?" Well, we've hit that point, both Horizon 2 and Forza 6 are stupidly glorious both in pictorial and motion form, the off-road levels in the former kicking up dust clouds and particle effects as you barrel across them head-to-head. The Horizon Festival that themes the entire experience is very reminiscent of the same one DJ Atomika would host across the various Burnout games, letting a far wider audience into the experience in a very accessible way, as oppose to the hardcore, petrol-headed fanatics that usually make up Forza's fanbase. If you were looking for a more casual racer in amongst the sea of Project CARS, Forza and even Driveclub, it's right here.
