10 Best Zombie Video Games Of The Decade (So Far)
7. Dead Nation
Before Resogun pushed them into the big leagues, developers at Housemarque made a criminally overlooked top-down shooter called Dead Nation.
Being able to be played either solo or with a team of up to four players, the shooter was a blistering action game that threw enough zombies at the screen to make Dead Rising jealous.
With the ability to upgrade weapons and collect new items to cause even more undead anarchy, the game constantly upped the ante the further you made it through the campaign, with the final few stages being nothing more than a nuclear explosion of zombie guts and gore.
Top-down shooters aren't for everyone, but even the most die-hard naysayers would be hard-pressed to not enjoy what the game has to offer.
The title picked up a little bit of traction when it released as a free game on Playstation Plus a few years ago, but even then it tragically didn't follow in the footsteps of Resogun to become as big as it should have been.
