10 Best Zombie Video Games Of The Decade (So Far)

4. Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

Undead Nightmare

Even though it was only a DLC expansion for Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare is still one of the most memorable and unique zombie games in years.

Adopting the same base mechanics as the original title but throwing players into a Wild West version of the undead apocalypse, the expansion came at a time when the genre was completely overdone in the gaming world, yet still managed to win players over by somehow making the walking dead feel fresh again.

Cowboys and zombies aren't an obvious recipe for success, but that genius bit of world blending resulted in one of the best DLC expansions ever. Here's hoping that Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't drop this fan favourite concept completely when the sequel releases next year.
