10 Better Games That Were Secretly Hidden In Video Games
1. The Adventures Of Young Nate & Sully - Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Though a well-oiled action-adventure blockbuster in its own right, few will hold Uncharted 3 up as their favourite entry into the series, yet it did introduce one inspired segue: young Nathan Drake.
Two chapters in the game are devoted to exploring Nate's origin story and inevitable teaming up with a young(er) Sully, and though these missions comprised maybe 30 minutes out of an eight-hour game, they left many fans eager for an outright Nathan Drake prequel spin-off.
Uncharted 4 similarly featured further flashback chapters to flesh out Nate's earlier life, yet that did nothing to quell the thirst for a game which ditched the present day stuff entirely and focused on Nate in his younger adventurer days.
A Young Indiana Jones-esque adventure in which Nate and a younger, more physically able Sully travel the world hoovering up treasure sounds like an absolute blast, and in light of Nate's quasi-retirement at the end of Uncharted 4, it would be an organic way to keep his story alive.
As entertaining as Uncharted 3 is, if the bulk of the game had been framed by a larger, more expansive prequel story, it's tough to imagine many complaining.
