10 Biggest Disappointments From E3 2018

8. Death Stranding Is Still VERY Early In Development

Another "Yes, it looks stunning, but where's the really big takeaway?" moment, Death Stranding looked brilliant in-motion, and props to Kojima Productions for being able to render even what we're seeing in such a short amount of time, but it's hard to ignore just how little there was gameplay-wise.

KojiPro basically had main man Sam journeying across a number of supremely slick-looking environments, carrying a number of boxes behind him and on his back. One of these turned into a makeshift rifle... that wasn't used.

Snake Eater-like survival/surgery elements seem to be a part of exploration as Sam was forced to remove an entire toenail, but outside of the mysterious story - whose appeal can stay shrouded in vagueries for the better - it would benefit Sony and consumers alike to actually know what kind of game this is.
