7. Gears Battle Royale Might Be FUNKO Pop-Themed

In case you missed it, Gears of War's E3 showing actually leaked early, detailing Gears of War 5, a strategy game, and a battle royale game.

Post-E3, we've now seen Gears 5 and the strategy game turned into an XCOM-style turn-based affair, but that battle royale game? It... looks to be a mobile-only, FUNKO Pop-themed... thing.

In the show itself, the iconic COG logo broke apart to reveal a cutesy Marcus Fenix behind, though no gameplay details followed.

We can only surmise then, based on the fact that two-thirds of the Gears leak has now been proven true, that Gears FUNKO IS the battle royale game. It certainly makes a huge amount of business sense, but... is also far from anything fans were asking for.
