10 Biggest Gaming Myths About The Apocalypse

2. Nobody Will Save You

Okay, that title sounded a little more like some clichéd dialogue than anything else. However, most games people complete, they do so because they€™ve been able to save their progress. It's unlikely saying this will ruin your childhood, but in the real world there is no save game. If you die you don€™t wake up annoyed you have to repeat the last half an hour, not yet anyway. Whether it be Darksiders, Left 4 Dead or even The Legend Of Zelda - Wind Waker (technically a post-apocalyptic game), it's doubtful there are many of you, if any, who have completed them without dying once. Most likely you have used the handy save game system to figure out, through endless repetitions, how to get around the roaming demons, zombie hordes or weird rock firing octopus things and managed to eventually continue on. Out there in the real apocalypse you will hide, beg and cry not to get killed. That said a special mention goes out to ZombiU who doesn't let you get attached to your character and instead has the resolve to say, once that guys dead, they're dead and it's up to your new character to find and rifle through the pockets of your recently deceased predecessor to retrieve your items.
