10 Biggest Problems With Nintendo Switch

Because Nintendo sent revisions of the Switch's chip and NAND memory to the FCC in 2020, it's been rumoured for years the company has been working on an updated console with 4K resolution.

Even though these rumblings could've been discarded as hearsay, they gained traction when multiple outlets, including Bloomberg News, affirmed that Nintendo was set to release a higher-end Switch model in 2021. When no such announcement was made at E3 that year, it looked like the 4K report was a bust.

But not only did Bloomberg News continue fanning the flames, they claimed Nintendo had sent development kits of the 4K model to 11 developers, including Zynga.

At this point, Nintendo finally stepped in, denying Bloomberg News' reports. When Zynga confirmed they had never received the alleged kit, it quashed rumours that a 4K model was on the horizon.

However, if Nintendo never had any intentions of manufacturing this type of Switch model, why didn't they correct Bloomberg sooner? The news agency had been discussing this issue for over a year, and yet, the company never considered piping up. Because Nintendo took so long to act, many Switch owners assumed the gossip surrounding the 4K model was factual, which made it sting more when the rumour went nowhere.
