6. The Switch's Online Expansion Pack

In October, Nintendo launched the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack for subscribers, allowing them to play a number of classic N64 titles. Whilst the likes of Super Mario 64, Mario Tennis, Starfox 64, and Yoshi's Story were all available on launch, the two titles that garnered the most hype from the community were Mario Kart 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

However, the reception to these legendary titles has been anything but universally positive.

Mario Kart 64 was plagued by issues around saving ghost data, with the Switch being unable to detect an N64 pack. This meant that players were unable to save their ghost records and compete against them in time trials, with the console displaying an error message and warning on the screen whenever they were using a classic controller.

As for Ocarina of Time, the game also launched with numerous reports from players about technical bugs and visual issues.

Reflective surfaces and atmospheric features such as fog weren't rendered properly upon release, which reportedly made a number of the game's boss battles far harder than in the original, and there was a widespread panning of the Switch version having a serious issue with input lag.

All in all, it wasn't worth the money.
