6. Anthem Dooms BioWare

Anthem had promise back when it was first revealed. Oh, how the mighty fall.

BioWare was once one of the most well-respected developers out there. As the creators of Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic, any game released by them was almost guaranteed to be good.

That's not the case anymore.

Following the massive disappointment that was Mass Effect Andromeda, Anthem is the second nail in the coffin for BioWare.

To say that Anthem was a huge disappointment would be an understatement. The game tried to emulate the best parts of Destiny, but failed to do so in any meaningful ways and ended up as just another empty shell of a game, with only some occasional bright spots.

EA once considered this to be one of their biggest games in development, but they barely want to be associated with it anymore. For a company still actively pushing Battlefront II, that's got to be telling.

Please let the next Dragon Age be their redemption.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
