10 Bizarre Video Game Achievements You Didn't See Coming

8. Momentary Peasantry - VALA: Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse

The bizarre and unexpected nature of this one really explains itself so I’m going to skip the preamble and give you a quick lowdown on VALA. VALA: Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse is a 2018 top-down shooter by RogueCode where you’ll, well, shoot a lot of llamas.

While Shadow of the Tomb Raider has a delightful achievement for petting 5 llamas that comes out of nowhere, this entry curiously has nothing to do with llamas, despite what the name may imply.

The Momentary Peasantry achievement is actually obtained when your framerate drops down to what the devs have deemed a, quote, “peasant level”. So, clearly both something you’d assume would never be rewarded with an achievement and hilariously weird at the same time. The key to this one is swarming the screen with vehicles, waiting for a horde of llamas and watching everything dip momentarily but long enough to give you that sweet achievement.

Is this one still a sweet achievement? I guess gamerscore gains are still gamerscore no matter what.
