10 Broken Video Games That Still Aren't Fixed

10. Halo: The Master Chief Collection

343 Industries

Release Date: November 11, 2014

What Happened?Immediately upon release, many players experienced issues with matchmaking, despite developers 343 Industries releasing numerous updates to address them.

The most common errors included long matchmaking times with low rates of success, resulting in players being given a free month of Xbox Live Gold and a downloadable copy of the Halo 3: ODST campaign as compensation. As basic issues were still not fixed three months after release, Forbes said it "may very well be the worst major game release in a decade."

Today: Roughly 18 months later, the game still takes forever to load multiplayer matches, players will encounter frequent crashes, playing with friends is difficult to the point that you wonder if 343 are actively discouraging you, and updates have mostly just introduced more problems.

As such, a large portion of the player base has since abandoned the game, and it's clear that 343 would rather point people towards the microtransaction-filled Halo 5 instead of actually getting this game in a 100% workable state.
