What Happened?Though Obsidian's action-RPG received mixed-positive reviews upon release, it was widely criticised for its abundance of bugs, poor AI, dodgy physics, combat and balancing, and the fact that, for a game so focused on stealth, playing as a stealth character resulted in ridiculously unbalanced, unfair boss battles, pretty much discouraging stealth play altogether.

Today: Despite the fanbase begging for a regimen of patches to smooth things out, Sega abandoned the game less than a year after release and pretty much never looked back. This is what we get for our hard-earned cash, apparently.
