10 Character Builds That BROKE Video Games - Commenter Edition

5. Arcane Warrior - Dragon Age: Origins

One of the greatest tricks to breaking an RPG is using a build that lets you stack a bunch of spells. The Arcane Warrior specialisation in Dragon Age: Origins lets you do just that.

Where Inquisition had the Knight Enchanter, Origins has this mage specialisation where players who are clever about casting a pile of sustain spells will find themselves pretty much unstoppable. On top of that you have access to some nasty area of effect spells so anybody who hoped they might have a tiny chance at doing a couple of points of damage to you would regret it very quickly. Couple the right abilities and spells with gear that compliments your playstyle and there’s very little even the biggest bads will be able to do to stand up against you. Plenty of players have reported being able to solo bosses on nightmare difficulty whether they opted for the Blood Mage or Spirit Healer path.

You have to remember this is a game where you are supposed to have a whole party so being able to go in and flatten everyone on your own is all you need to know about how broken this build is.
