10 Classic Nintendo Games That NEED A Re-Release
7. Star Fox Adventures
A strange title in the Star Fox series, Star Fox Adventures was criticised for being a bit too unlike Star Fox and a bit too much like The Legend Of Zelda (as if that was ever a bad thing).
One of Nintendo's lesser-known franchises, the large gap between releases of Star Fox titles has meant it never quite took off in the same way the videogame behemoth's heavy hitters have, and while Star Fox Adventures strayed from the formula it has been one of the series' best-received entries in recent years.
Admittedly suffering from an obvious lack of the epic dogfights that made the series what it was, the original GameCube title was only very superficially a Star Fox game. A re-release could remedy this somewhat, acting as a sort of pseudo-sequel integrating space battles with the exploration elements to provide a unique and enjoyable experience. Alternatively, Nintendo could bundle the game with an updated port of a more traditional Star Fox title, giving fans the best of both worlds.
Either way, the series is in desperate need of a reboot, and the long-awaited release of Star Fox 2 on the SNES classic proves that there's still an appetite for a series which still has room to grow.
