10 Classic Nintendo Games That NEED A Re-Release
6. Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link
Given the ubiquity of Nintendo and The Legend Of Zelda series, it's strange to think that the company just let the second entry in the series die.
Adventure Of Link was a weird title, sure, and in retrospect proved a (thankfully since corrected) mis-step for the franchise, but an updated version of Zelda II could make for a very unique entry into the series.
As innovative as the game's concept was, it suffered more from its execution than its vision. An updated version of The Adventure Of Link could fix the game's technical issues and make it much more accessible by making NPCs actually make sense, implementing more obvious over world signposting and a slightly more forgiving battle system, aided by analogue controls.
Providing an interesting blend of top-down and side-scrolling gameplay, The Adventure Of Link introduced a number of staple features to the franchise, such as the Magic meter and the RPG elements since expounded by Skyward Sword and Breath Of The Wild, making this forgotten title an important part of Zelda history.
Cadence Of Hyrule, which applied Crypt of the NecroDancer's formula to a Legend Of Zelda skin, proves that Zelda fans enjoy something different from the tried-and-tested formula once in a while -- though Nintendo could even bundle this game with a re-release of the franchise's original title if they're worried Zelda II won't sell too well.
