10 Classic Nintendo Games That NEED Switch Remakes

8. Mega Man V

Mega Man V might be a slightly contentious pick compared to the many other Mega Man hits which could have been selected, it actually makes a lot of sense in context. Plus, while criticism aimed at the fact it didn’t do much different with Mega Man is fair, that’s less of an issue these days when it’s no longer one of the jewels in the crown.

Link’s Awakening wouldn’t necessarily be the first Zelda game you’d think of for a Switch update (as later entries here suggest), but like Mega Man V, you can see the thinking behind it. Both titles are from the GameBoy rather than a console, so bringing them to the Switch means the world can open up much more.

No longer limited by graphics or interface, the developers of Link’s Awakening (and hypothetically, Mega Man V) can design a more fitting art style. Our minds tend to gloss over the graphics of our childhood favourites, but the Switch is clearly leaps and bounds ahead of the GameBoy.

As for the game itself, it’s your standard Mega Man fare, with the notable fun inclusion that you can now shoot your entire fist at enemies.
