10 Classic Video Game Glitches That Allowed Us All To Cheat

1. Final Fantasy VI - Vanish + Doom/X-Zone

This is perhaps the most well known glitch out of all the Final Fantasy glitches, and one of the most fatal I have seen for any game. In essence this glitch allows you to completely annihilate any challenging aspect of the game, by simply using two spells in succession.

The trick comes in realizing that any creature with the "vanish" status has very poor magic defense and is affected by virtually all spells, including the instant kill-offering Doom and X-Zone.

The worst part about this glitch is that it will work 100% of the time and even on bosses, this means that even hardest of creatures in the game can be defeated instantly. The only difference between Doom and X-Zone is Doom targets one enemy while X-Zone affects all enemies.

However there is one exception to the rule. While you can virtually destroy all bosses in the game using this combo, it should be noted that if you use Vanish + X-Zone combo on Doom Gaze you will not obtain the Bahamut Esper. Yet this is almost completely useless, as if you use the Vanish + Doom combo you will still receive the Bahamut Esper.
