10 Classic Video Games That Deserve A Next Generation Definitive Edition

8. Super Mario Galaxy/Galaxy 2

Although the debate is still on whether the Wii U counts as a true next-gen console, in my world, it does. It's certainly much more HD than the Wii was, and the best game on that system is highly deserving of a revamp. Even without HD graphics, Nintendo still managed to make Super Mario Galaxy look fantastic. Popping with vibrant colours and some of the best level design ever seen in gaming, who wouldn't want to see Galaxy rendered with the graphical quality we saw recently in Super Mario 3D World? Super Mario 3D World was amazing, but it never managed to touch Galaxy in terms of enjoyment. The thrill of blasting across the universe and traversing everything from underwater planets to worlds that switched between hot and cold is something we'd be looking forward to experiencing once again. Nintendo should bundle both games together in one and give the Wii U a much-needed shot in the arm (along with a load of other new games as well, naturally). Throw in some intuitive GamePad functionality and you're surely onto a winner.
