10 Classic Video Games That Deserve A Next Generation Definitive Edition
3. Grand Theft Auto V
Perhaps one of the most unusual decisions in recent years was to keep the latest and greatest GTA game completely on PS3 and Xbox 360 with nary a mention of a PC version or release for a next-generation definitive edition. Of course GTA V was built from the ground up for the current generation of consoles, but we all know those game developers will have had access to the next-gen consoles long before we even knew of their existence. It's certainly a game that would sell in its millions - many invested hours upon hours into GTA V already and were amazed by it, but a next-gen port still has me wanting to surrender my funds immediately to the local vendor of videogaming goodness. GTA V was actually a technical marvel on our current consoles, pushing them to the limit with one of the most amazingly creative and detailed gaming worlds ever constructed. It's also the game that spawned forth the ridiculously awesome Trevor Phillips; a character so deranged and so unhinged that he instantly became a favourite for everyone. (Not everyone - Ed.) Grand Theft Auto V's next-gen port may well be the one of the most feasible on this list, but only if Rockstar is feeling very, very nice and isn't too busy tinkering away on a beautiful new game such as Bully or Red Dead Redemption next-gen. Perhaps we'll find out soon eh?
