10 Classic Video Games You Didn’t Realise Had Sequels

6. Jak And Daxter: The Lost Frontier

Jak and Daxter may not be as recognisable as other cute platformers like Spyro or Rayman. However, there's no question Naughty Dog's saga deserves just as much recognition as their other iconic platformer, Crash Bandicoot.

Although Jak and Daxter isn't a household name like Mario or Pikachu, it's maintained a deeply devoted fanbase. But until right now, the biggest fans probably haven't heard of Jax and Daxter: The Lost Frontier. Because it was released on the PSP and the PS2 three years after the PS3 launched, the sequel wasn't really on anyone's radar.

But another reason why you may have missed the memo is because The Lost Frontier was missing from, not one, but TWO collections! 2012's Jak and Daxter Collection only contained remastered ports of the first three instalments. 2017's Jak and Daxter Bundle had every single game in the franchise, apart from Daxter and The Lost Frontier.

The reason why this entry wasn't included in these compilations is simple - It was helmed by High Impact Games, not Naughty Dog. As a result, The Lost Frontier was excluded from both collections, and is often regarded as the black sheep of the series. I mean... it's not great, but The Lost Frontier definitely doesn't deserve to be discounted as if it never existed.
