10 Comic Characters Still Waiting for Video Game Justice

5. Hellboy

Offending Games - Hellboy: Asylum Seeker, Hellboy: The Science of Evil Asylum Seeker - developed by Cryo Studios - is considered one of the worst games to show up on the Sega Dreamcast, which is quite an illustrious award for a long line of terrible games that followed the system into nothingness. The game had spent a few years in development, which left it out-dated and under-performing on newer consoles (the PS version had greatly inferior graphics). The Science of Evil - developed by Krome Studios - came close to making a good Hellboy game, but also suffered from diminished graphics and gameplay on the next-gen consoles it released on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tghmDDN0orw How It Should Play: The core of anything involving Hellboy is the art and creativity of Mike Mignola, which is crucial to making a new video game work. The rich cast of the BPRD would add to the horror-themed game as Hellboy embarks on one of his many supernatural adventures. The setting is key, as is a unique story that would flesh out Mignola's beautiful world in a way we have never seen. I would be happy controlling Hellboy as he uneventfully walked through some of the fine pages of artwork we've seen over the years, but we can probably do better than that. Special Move: After using his Right Hand of Doom to destroy his previous games, Hellboy loads the crumpled remains of Asylum Seeker into the Samaritan, lights a stogie, and blows the audience away.
