When the PlayStation Pro was announced people were cautious that the only games that would be improved were the ones with official patches, patches which are completely optional and entirely dependent on individual developers.

However the recently introduced Boost Mode does a good job of improving every game regardless of whether they have official support, meaning that no matter what you're playing you're going to see some kind of improvement if you've upgraded to the new console.

But while this is a welcome feature, it's not a game-changer for those currently on the fence. You're not going to see the hardware's true potential fulfilled with this feature turned on, but it does provide a handy boost to performance across the board generally speaking, especially in regards to the stability of frame-rates and even resolution.

It's a nice addition for people already with the Pro, but it shouldn't be the reason new customers head out to pick one up for themselves.
