10 Console Games That Will Probably Be Banned In China

4. Watch Dogs (PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4)

Little is known about Watch Dog's plot, but from the story hints in gameplay footage and the overall premise, it's looks like a game that depicts the alternative universe where Julian Assange was Batman. The list of banned films in China shows that Avatar was banned for basically endorsing political rebellion. Given the fact that China has also shut-out Wikileaks for revealing immense institutional corruption, it's unlikely that a game about someone not only liberating information, but weaponising it, will likely not make it to store shelves. (Probable) Official Statement: Banned for "inciting unnecessary political disobedience," and "advocating for non-State controlled freedom of information." And finally, "delaying it till the second quarter of 2014 we a criminal offence in itself."
