10 Controversial Gaming Moments In 2013

2. Resolutions

As the launch of the next generation €“ now current generation- consoles approached it became common knowledge to the public that most games were suffering performance issues on the Xbox One. Specifically, games weren€™t running at a 1080P resolution but rather 720p. This alone didn€™t cause a justified outcry, but Microsoft€™s competition in the PlayStation 4 was running these same games in 1080p really stirred the pot. This revelation sparked some heated internet debating too, with most gamers saying €œwho the hell would buy a console that is already receiving inferior versions of game€. And to be fair, it€™s true. I will once again admit though that for all the technical shortcomings, in terms of pure graphical power no available next generation title looks better than Ryse: Son of Rome. So for all we know it€™s just another case of having to wait more than one month before raising the hand of Sony or Microsoft definitively in any area yet.
