10. Unnecessary Sequels

2013 wasn't the best year for gaming sequels. For every success story, there were spectacular failures. Whether the offending games were rushed for release before the next generation consoles reached markets or were legitimately just phoned in, there were there some lousy follow-ups in 2013, including in franchises whose creators should have known better. Games like Gears Of War: Judgment and Dead Island: Riptide seemingly had no idea what made their predecessors so invigorating. Meanwhile, a game like God Of War: Ascension fared slightly better €“ there were some deliciously epic boss battles- but its story was empty, superfluous, boring, and simultaneously dragged its likeable traits through the mud. Batman: Arkham Origins also could have been a lot worse considering the development team shuffling. Nothing is more appalling and insulting than developers intentionally releasing a poor product for a quick dollar though, and 2013 was just filled with them. This also brings us to€
