10 Coolest Gadgets In Batman Video Games
2. HF Transponder - Batman Begins (2005)
Despite the middling reception of the game adaptation of 2005's Batman Begins, it does stay rather faithful to the movie, both in characterisation and equipment - some of which has never been seen before.
The High-frequency Transponder is Batman's ace in the hole, especially in the Gameboy Advance version. Just like in the movie, activating this transponder will let out an inaudible sound that summons a whole flock of bats to surround you, with the added bonus here of them chipping away at the health of all the enemies on screen.
It's definitely an endgame trick to be used sparingly, but whenever you're swamped by enemies and unable to fight your way out with just your fist, calling for help from your winged friends can be just the ticket. Where it really proves its worth is in the final boss fight with Ra's al Ghul, tearing through the minions and leaving you to face the Demon's Head alone.
