10 CRAZIEST Things Nintendo Has Ever Done

8. Hostility Towards Streamers

Every niche has their copyright bugbear, and for gaming, that is without question Nintendo.

By all means Nintendo should come down on pirates and inappropriate users who reflect poorly on their brand, but this isn't the late 2000s anymore - those folks just don't exist on YouTube in such quantities. The only ones left being hurt by the constant copyright striking, then, are journalists and gamers who love Nintendo and love to talk about it.

Nintendo is the most beloved game companies out there, and if they would let them, gamers from YouTube to Twitch would do nothing but sing their praises. Thankfully a handful of new rules have eased things more recently, but because of how insanely strict they can be with instant demonetization and copyright striking, they've done nothing but sow malcontent among one of their most valuable resources.
